How Can YOU Become the Next Miss Black South Carolina USA?
You may apply to be a contestant in the 2009 Miss Black South Carolina USA Pageant by completing and submitting an application by clicking here APPLICATION.
Please note the following eligibility requirements must be met in order to proceed with the application process.
a. Miss contestants must be at least 17 years of age and not older than 27 years of age by the date of the 2008 national competition. Teen contestants must be at least 13 years of age and no older than 17 years of age by the date of the 2008 preliminary and state competition. b. You must be a high school graduate by the date of the national pageant for the Miss Division. You must be a middle school or high school student to compete in the Teen Division. c. You must be single and must never have been married. You may have children. d. You must be a natural-born female. e. You must be a United States citizen and live in the United States. f. You must be a resident of South Carolina or have educational status or employment in South Carolina. g. You must have never performed any act or engaged in any activity or employment that is or could reasonably be characterized as dishonest, immoral or indecent. h. You must never have been convicted of any crime other than minor traffic violations and you must have no criminal charges pending. i. You must be in excellent physical and mental health and can and without limitation participate in any program activities. j. You must not use or consume any illegal controlled dangerous substances or abuse the use of alcohol or other dangerous substances. k. You may not have competed more than twice in the national Miss Black USA Pageant and may not represent the same state more than once. l. You must provide proof of age (i.e. copy of driver’s license, birth certificate or U.S. Passport). m. You must provide proof of residency in South Carolina. n. You must complete and timely return all required application items to accept an invitation to be a contestant in the state or preliminary pageant.
***Employees, officers, directors and agents of the Miss Black USA Pageant and/or any of their respective licensees, assigns, parents, affiliated or subsidiary companies and their immediate families (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, regardless of where they live) or member of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers, directors and agents are not eligible to be delegates in the Miss Black South Carolina USA Pageant or participate in the application process.
